Undercoating / Rust Protection?

I live near NYC in the nj burbs. We had a harsh winter last year. I typically apply rust proof around this time. I garage my truck. I typically will wash it once a week when we have snow. I also have ramps and a hose in my garage and will pressure wash the undercarriage. I have virtually no rust on the underside and it looks as new as the day it drove off the assembly line.

I'm in Ontario Canada, and we get it pretty rough in the winter. My 06 has been sprayed once every fall since new at krown rustproofing and you won't find a spot of rust on my truck. They drill little holes in the rockers, doors, and pillars to spray inside using different spray guns/ nozzles and place grommets in the holes after. They do a wonderful job. $150 shop price. That's my personal preference, I can't complain.

Old thread, but since my previous post I have purchased a '15 Sierra that I did go and have it rustproofed & undercoated at a local Ziebart shop.

After the 1st winter it still looks great, and had taken it in for a check/touch up so it's ready for this winter.

We'll see how it looks in another 8+ years.

I just sold my 2003 silverado 2500 HD without a hint of rust on the body. never had it rust proofed, but I started to spray the frame with FLUID FILM about 5 years ago. Give that stuff a try, its way better than WD-40. When I had connections with a distributer, I bought the stuff by the case.

Did you ever end up rust proofing? If so what did you use? I also live in the Buffalo area
