Installed New Stuff Yesterday

Just installed on my 08 z71 1500 yesterday a set of the gm wheel well liners, front molded mud flaps, window tint, and a white bow tie to my cross over tool box. the mud flaps are going to have to grow on me but I had to get them, i have alot of rock chips on the rockers and needed to find a way to cut back on those. the wheel well liners...... i wish i got those 3 years ago when i bought the truck, they look awesome in my opinion. and the tint i did 35% on the front. and the white bow tie is my dads old one from his z71 tahoe which i had to replace, so i took it and painted it.

Wheel liners look good , I have never seen anyone up here in Ontario with them . What do a pair cost if you don't mind me asking.

My liners cost $140 CDN when I ordered them with my truck. I assume the parts counter price is the same.

wheel well liner

Can't see it from the picture. What is a wheel well liner? what is the benefit?

Rant - That wheel is IMHO, gorgeous - I bought a set for myself off Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. But WHY does the factory put weights on the outside lip of that wheel, or any upscale wheel for that matter? I have mounted my own tires and my wheels have clip ons on the back side and stick ons for the the front. But, there are marks around the outside lip remain where the old weights were. Tis a big mystery to me. I can't for the life of me understand why you would pay a good designer good money to design a great looking wheel and then spend more money tooling up and building it. Then you charge the customer for the option. And then, put those ugly clip weights on the outside  End of Rant. Well, a wee bit more - why not have the option of having metal valve stems with the TPMS? I have put chrome valve covers on my rubber stems.

what did you use to paint the bowties?

i painted mine with Duplicolor Perfect Match spray paint and clear coat, but they have some major orange peel. too scared to wet sand them myself, i've tried to on other stuff in the past and i always screw it up!

You can get the liners from GM parts direct for $97 shipped to your door... Thats where I got mine, and its the cheapest I found.
