Hello Everyone!

Finally wore out my Cooper Zeon LTZ (275/60/20) and just installed my new Trail grapplers. Coopers were great but you can't beat the look of these Nitto's. Finally stopped raining and I went out and took some pics. Sorry about the dirty truck, I will post some better pics after I wash it. Here's the set-up

2.5" TGC Level kit

3" Ready Lift Blocks

20" x 8.5" ( +18 mm Offset ) Liquid Metal Wheels

295/55/20 Trail Grappler ( 32.91" x 12.52" )

Tires rub @ full lock backing out of the driveway. Rubs plastic only, I will take some more pics tonight before I trim.

Last pic is next to my Dads truck w/ a 3" Body lift & 33" BFG's

how long did the Cooper's last? were they fairly quiet on the highway? did you have them on those aftermarket wheels or the factory 20" wheels? do you have any old pics of those installed?

i like the tread pattern on those, but don't want to get aftermarket wheels. i've been thinking about getting the same type of lift you have.

Coopers had 50k on them and still had tread left. Ended up selling them for $100. "Quiet?" Compare to these tires, yes pretty quiet. I was very happy with them, just wanted an aggressive look now. Coopers were on both factory and current wheels. I dont have any close up pics of the coopers but I will say they looked good on both sets of wheels.

Heres a few pics of another truck leveled:

Tex I have the same clad rims as you. If you get them before me shoot me a pic. I am curious to see those tire on our stock rim...

OP. What did your mileage do when you switched over to the Trail grapplers? Just wondering how bad it really is? what was it with the zeons to give me a reference point. Thanks.

I lost 1-2 mpg with the coopers and my speedometer was off by 5mph. Took a 300 mile trip and averaged 17.1MPG running 70-75mph. I haven't checked with the Nittos but they are heavier that the coopers. It's like I tell my friends, we dont buy trucks for MPG's.

I hear you, I felt the mpg loss alot more in the city though! Around 12-13mpg with a light foot. You will like the coopers, great all around tire! :uhoh:

I am getting the trail grapplers not the Coopers. You live once and need to enjoy yourself. Its only money, what the hell... Seems like you are happy with the trail grapplers, so good for you.
