I may have a job soon, I'll update you guys in a few days, so I can start to look for a new fuel pump. I have a few questions.

Are are some good aftermarket pump manu's in general. I want something that flows better than stock, since I want to get around 425 HP+ out if this thing in the next 4 years. what GPH rating should I look at? anyone know what stock is rated at?

I believe your truck has that in-tank pump/fuel sending unit.  Thats the way my 88 was.  I checked the pressure on my stock pump and I think it was at 13psi?  Im not sure of the flow rate.  As far as aftermarket pumps go, im not sure how you would go about setting that up.  But give a look at Barry Grant pumps, Accel makes high pressure pumps, Holley has their Blue Max pumps which run a stock-set 14psi and 70gph.  I think it comes with a reg too!  Theres lots of different routes to go.  Hopefully someone that is a little more in the know on fuel delivery will chime in also!  :thumb:
