I want to be double absolute sure on this before I buy them.  I want BFG All Terrain T/A's - 285/70/16 for my 1500HD.  Who has that size or bigger on the factory aluminum 6.5" wide wheels.  The guy at the tire store recommended an 8" wheel.  If you have them on the 6.5" wheels, have you had any problems or regrets with not going to a wider wheel?

I was running 305's on stock rims w/ no problems.  Some guys have run 315's on the stockers w/o any problems.

 

I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Jon,

Seems like someone told me that the wheels you have are actually a little wider than the HD version....?  Not sure.  I would guess yours are 7" compared to mine which are 6.5".  But then again the 305's are about an inch or so wider than 285's.

305's here....no worries mate
