2009 Sierra 1500 Extendo Cab 2wd

My 09 has the 20" wheels, I just got it, certified used at the local gmc dealer, It sits lower in the back than the front, the body sits about 1.5" lower in the back measured from the ground to the fender well lip....any ideas?

Sounds to me the 1st owner removed the rear block between the leaf spring and the axle with those measurments.

 

Look under the rear of the truck and see if you can see a block inbetween the leaf spring and the axle perch where the "U" bolts are, if you dont see one then its been removed thats why the rear sits lower the the front or he put a front leveling kit on the front springs and the way you can tell this is look for a block on eather the top of the spring strut or the bottom where it connects to the bottom "A" arm.

There is no block between the rear axle ubolts and the axle. There does appear to be some kind of black rubber or hard plastic round isolator between the coil spring and the top of the spring housing.

Also, why would someone want just the rear end lowered? It looks kind of funny to me...I with the front end was as low as the back, but if its just as easy to add a block between the ubolts, I think I will do that for the ease and lack of fundage....
