New Baby Arrived!

All these pics of new trucks lately was more than I could bear! So here's my latest contribution to the truck accessories world! Arrived home on July 1st.... 50couple miles mostly put on by me during test drives. Love that Sheer Silver with the Z-71 Appearance Package. Love me those light to neutral colors too that don't show dirt too bad! Got the vent visors and big Bowtie mudflaps (due to places that I hunt and gravel roads). Ordering a matching cap this week to, as my Dad used to say, "keep the honest people from stealing stuff" out of the bed. A little GM auto start from the dealer and it'll be done. Already have a bed mat and nice floor mats from a prior truck.

 

Leveling it with possibly some bigger tires are down the road. I'm also thinking about 20"ish Magnaflow muffler for a little rumble that won't be too annoying in 4 cyl. mode. Then again, with the terrain where I live, that 5.3 doesn't spend a lot of time in 4 cyl.

Do you have a PN for the flaps you have? Did you have to drill any holes?

PN is: 0008113410507 They are made by Plasticolor and are from....get ready....Walmart! Check their website and enter that PN. They're sold in pairs and I got them shipped to my shack for $49.72 (2 pairs). I think the factory GM molded flaps look good but their coverage is a joke. If I'm putting flaps on, I want them to do a good job. Yes I had to drill some holes (hardware is provided) but I was able to mount them lower than the GM molded ones. Therefore, I get better protection. I wasn't overly crazy about the yellowish Bowtie but they have grown on me (being a Steelers fan ).

You may not have to be concerned with the 4 cylinder drone. What rear end gears do you have and does it have the 6 spd tranny? My 11' with 3.08 gears and 6 speed tranny spends almost no time in 4 cyl mode, usually for only short stretches going down hill.

Truck has 3.42 gears with the 6 speed. And from what I've seen so far it does not seem to run in 4 cyl mode as much as the '07 I had.

 

And the bows....that one to the left of the 3rd brake light is my "Ford;" a GT500....okay it's an Elite.....

Puurrrdy truck. I'm not much of a fan of the z71 appearance package but it looks good on that silver!

that silver color looks beautiful. go with a 2" leveling kit and tint. it'll do wonders!
