DaveH71 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 So im in the middle of my rc body lift and im at the part where you put the pucks on the mounts. Anyway, when i lower the body onto the mounts with the pucks none of the bolt holes line up. I cant get any of the cab holes to line up except the very front two behind the grille. Anyone else run into this problem? How can i shift the body a little to line the holes up, there only off by like a 1/4 of an inch.
03blackz71 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 The trick is before you lower the body all the way down you start the bolts. If the bolts don't line up you can still slide the body some.
travishale84 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 i also have this kit installed on my 2011 sierra. i didnt have any problems with the body moving on me beacuse i loosened one side at a time, and removed the other side completely. with the body still off the pucks enough to move them i started all the bolts on one side. lowered the cab, turned the bolts 3/4 of the way in and did the other side. i would get a friend of two and try to move the body over that much to get the holes to line up
DaveH71 Posted July 9, 2011 Author Posted July 9, 2011 Thanks guys, i ended up just having to man handle to body a bit. The little trick with starting the bolts worked great to. Thanks for all the help. Ill be sure to get pics up when im done.
