95 Yukon 5.7 V8 Missfiring

i have a 1995 gmc yukon with the old 350 not the vortec and i recently started noticing it will make a bop noise mostly when travelling on the highway when it does this it will sometimes lunge forward. could this be a clogged fuel filter? bad plugs? any advise would be good.

I have a 95' Sierra 2500 with the same motor and had a similar issue with mine. I did a little poking around the motor and saw that one of my sparkplug wires (which one i can't remember) was arcing out over the ignition coil. I would try just a basic tune up first (spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor) to rule out the possibility of it being something simple before having other tests done. Hope this helped you.
