Steering Controls Do Not Work

I tried searching the forum but did not return any results. I just bought an 07 sierra 1500, it is the LT model with all the features. I have found out that the buttons for cruise control and volume. All the buttons on the steering wheel do not work. I found somewhere online that said if the horn doesn't work it's the fuse. I checked the horn and it did not work either. I tried swaping the 02 fuse (sw bklt) fuse with another 02 fuse. No change. The fuse is not poped so I'm not sure what else to check. Please help. I can't afford to take it in to the dealer and pay them $80 to diagnose the problem.
