Am I missing something where did 33's come in? haha I agree 4.10's with 33's is is overkill 35's should be fine especially with our 6.2's. I just need to find a good gear shop in nor cal.

you must be, read post 13.......................

i was under the impression that 4.10s worked great with 33s and 4.56 worked best with 35s.

If you're gonna tow at all, go 4.10. If it doesn't feel like you want it to now, don't hesitate to change it. My 1990 has 4.10's with 31's, and while it runs high RPM on the highway, the economy isn't any worse than comparable trucks, plus has way more torque than it would with higher gears. Might be overkill, but you can definitely feel the difference in punch. My 2006 does good with 3.73's, but it isn't lifted with heavy 33's either :)

It took awhile but I just had the 4.56 gears installed.

They are Motive Performance and are quiet. I'm turnin

1900rpm at 60mph. Could have got by with 4.10 I think

but I don't drive much hwy so these are good. The low end

grunt is great, but I'm trying to go easy on them for break-in.

Who did you have do your gear change?

I'm trying to get mine done in my 2012 GMC 1500. Having problems getting it done.

How did you reprogram the pcm for gears?

Did they have a problem with the ABS reprogramming?

Thanks Jim

I'd like to know that also...I'm thinking of going from 3.08s to 3.73s and am wondering about the ABS.

Well I went with 4.56, and its great down low. Crusing 70mph I think its running 22-2400 RPM. Since I dont do much HWY driving I think it was a good choice.
