Your Other Trucks

Im sure this was posted before but what the hell. What other past gm trucks has everyone had? I had:

1991 Silverado ext. cab short box 4x4

1992 Sierra ext. cab short box 2x4

1998 Sierra ext. cab short box 4x4. (my favorite truck of them all!!)

2004 Silverado ext. cab short box 4x4. (current)

I never knew you switched out of the 98! (shows how much I pay attention ) How long ago did you do that?

 

 

My first rig was an '89 chevy S-10 Blazer. That's all that's really worth mentioning.

Not being a smart a$, just curious. Why did you sell your "favorite" 98 ext cab for a 04 ext cab when your daughter was born? I could see selling it for a crew cab to accomodate your newborn. Your post makes it seem like you sold it becuase of the addition to the family (congrats by the way), which might not be the case. I sold my Harley when my second son was born. I was sad to see it go but spending time with my sons brought me way more joy.

 

 

 

Oh and my first car and first chevy/gmc was a 1976 Malibu Classic. That car was made when I was 1.

2nd was '03 Tahoe which I still own,

3rd is my wifes daily driver, a '05 Yukon Denali XL,

And last but not least my '10 Sierra.

Well my dad kept harassing me just in case something else happens to the truck like a transmisson or rear diff. He likes to worry. So kept harassing me for half a year while the gf was prego and we left the hospital the gf had a hard time getting in and out my truck cause of the lift. It was sitting just over 6" lift and i even had nerf bars for her to. So after a long thought, i thought i would sell it. So i sold it for 10k and saw this truck which is my 04 now.

 

Some manager of this company had it sitting at his office for half a year not moving it cause he has another new truck. And my dad works next door so basically i asked him if he wanted to sell it and he wanted 8000 for it and i got him down to 3000 cash. It needed a new front end, tires, brakes, windshield, and couple exhaust leaks fixed. So I fixed all those up and had a couple thousand left to spare.

1998 Jimmy (bought in '03) SLT with most options

2003 Silverado (bought in '04) base model, stepside, 4.8, 4WD

2008 Tacoma (new) crew cab, 4WD TRD pkg. with locker.

2010 Subaru Legacy GT. Turbo, 6-speed manual. Thought a fun car might work for me. It didn't.
