Re-aiming Headlights

I leveled my truck and I'm trying to re-aim my headlights, but the owner's manual is no help. It tells me to measure up to the light on the truck and then aim the light line at that same height on a wall. This is fine and dandy if your truck has the factory rake but when you lift the front end, the lights are now higher but the lights are aimed no higher on the wall than the headlights. The end result: no headlight re-aiming is required per the owner's manual. However, the lights are now aiming too high and blinding other drivers. I should have measured before leveling, but I didn't think to look up the process until after I had installed the leveling kit.

Does anyone know how high the light line should be on the wall? Could someone with a factory suspension measure their light line for me?

Let's not overkill this here, o.k.? :P

Tonight, after it gets dark, park approximately 15-20 feet from your garage door with your headlights on low, find a line or marking in your garage door to use as a reference point for vertical headlight adjustment, then move the light beam down the door an inch or two depending on the height of your leveling kit.

Are there more precise ways? I'm sure there is but this is the way that I have re-adjusted headlights for the near 100's of leveling/lift kits that I have installed over the years with 0 complaints.

I found that turning the adjustment screws down 3 complete turns will put them at stock aim, where they were before the leveling kit.

I think that is pretty close to what mine took as well.

D'oh! That makes a lot more sense than I was trying to make of it. I guess 8 straight days of work in triple digits has destroyed my ability to do simple math  . Thanks for the help!
