Wheels On Trucks

Hello!

I'm just wondering if it is okay to have different size and type

of wheels on the front and rear of the GMC Truck. I mean, can

I have a smaller size at the front and a bigger size at the rear.

Do they have to be the same type/thread on the wheels on

all sides? What would be the best size recommendations for

this set up? Btw, I have the 2009 GMC Sierra extended cab.

Thank you!

I do not really understand what you asking here. I get the part about different size, front to rear, but do not understand the type/thread part.

You cannot have different size tires front to rear, it will set off warnings. Different sized tires rotate at different speeds, anti-lock brakes do not like that. Nor does stabilitrack. And if you have 4wd, that really would not like it.

Staggered wheels and tires on a truck?????? Why would you do this. I have staggered wheels and tires on my car, but on a truck? Makes no sense to me, but yes, it would be possible if you maintained the same OD front to rear. Example - A 265/60/18 and a 245/70/17 both have the same 30.5" diameter, so hypothetically it's possible, but again, why would you do this?
