Installing Aftermarket Cd Player In My 2011

im thinking about adding an aftermarket cd player in my 2011 sierra. just wondering if anyone has any pointers on how to remove the factory radio... i know it was super easy in my 2004 sierra. im scared to break the plastic trim pieces

Getting the center trim piece off the suv style dash is a pain and you will feel like you are going to break it. Start at the bottom corner with a pick to pry it up so you can get a plastic trim wedge in there and work your up to the top popping the clips as you go and then do the other side, the clips on the smaller parts you basically just gotta pull and have faith it wont snap. Once you have it off though you have to remove the piece with 12v outlets then then hvac controls then the stereo, they are all linked together that way. I bought both the scochse and metra dash kits and the metra matches the factory look much better.
