Bilstein 5100 Shocks

Does anyone know if the Bilstein 5100 shocks would work with the RC 2" Level kit? it would be great to get another .5" or 1" in the front.

My stock Rancho shocks on my All Terrain are almost done and its time to upgrade. I would like to go for the 5100's as everyone seems happy with them.

Does anyone know if they are longer in the rear? I have 3" rear blocks and instead of buying the rear shock extensions i figured i would just wait to buy new longer rear shocks to prevent them from fully extending.

Thanks for the help.

You could run the lvl kit with more lift from the 5100 it will just speed up the wear of ball joints and everything.

The 5100 either come in 0 to 1in lift or 4in lift version for the rear of the truck

I think what he is referring to is that they make a version of these shocks for a lift that is 4" high in the rear not to be confused with the shock lifting the rear 4" the 0-1" option will allow you to use this shock with factory blocks or a block that is 1" larger than stock. Not sure if that helps or if I misinterpreted your response

I run the Bilstien 5100 adj with the RC kit. I have it set on the 2nd notch which is .58+. They are great and at that setting have over 20K and total of 67K on the truck no issuses ever. Before this combo I ran the Bilstien at max 1.8 also no issues.

You can use the +1 Bilstien whith a 3 inch block with no problem as you are only 1/2 more than the factory with the offset by the longer shock. I run a 2 1/2 rear block perfect setting for me.

so with the 2" RC level and your 5100's on 2nd notch your getting about 2.58" of lift?

Thats correct, 2 1/2 is the limit before ball joint issues become a problem from many discussions on the boards.
