33x12.50x20's Nitto Mud Graps Fit?

I found a set of 33x12.50x20 Nitto Mud Grapplers for $400 with 70% tread left on them. I had a thread on here about what size i could fit on my truck without lifting it. I was told i could fit 33's with just cranking my torsion bars. But that was with a 17'' wheel. Let me know if its possible to fit these. I was told to get 20'' rims instead of sticking with my 17's so im assuming it would be damn close atleast. Im sure it has to do with offset. If so whats the proper offset to make it work? Thanks for all the help!

I think you should try and find a wheel with a positive offset, I believe the stock wheel is around +30 so something similar would be safe. You still might rub though, that tire is a wide 12.50.

The links don't work, offest and backspace is confusing as hell so don't worry about sounding stupid man. You can run a negative offset wheel all day long, it just sits the tire farther out from the truck and can cause more rubbing issues than a positive offset wheel. The wheel well is a little different on your style truck, so you can get away with a little more than the new body style.

It's probably a + 18, which is a good thing. I had a 20x9 with basically a 33*12.50 on my old HD. Even with a good 2" crank and some well placed hammering, those tires rubbed. Good luck if it's a 1500.

Ok so the smaller that number the better? Yes its on an 04 Z71 1500.

Your stock rim is 8.5" wide with a positive 30mm offset, so that means the middle of the rim is 4.25". convert the offset of 30mm to inches=1.18"

so lets just round that number to 1.25" add that number to 4.25" and you have a 5.5" back spacing on factory rims.

The less the offset the more the tire will stick out of the fender. So a 0 offset or -10 offset (just examples) moves the tire outward.

If it was a 0 offset the tire and rim would stick out about 1.25" further then now. If it was -10 offset (30mm + 10mm = 40mm) would be about 1.5" further out then stock. The offset is the movement from the direct center of the wheel, inward and outward. positive offset is in under the truck. negative is outward away from the truck.

The problem is these tires are really wide so you need to have something like a +10 or 0 offset so they dont rub on the inside. that causes a problem with rubbing on the other side.

Ok that helps. Thanks for laying it out there for me. So +18 offset wont work probly then huh? man im trying to make these work because they have 70-80% tread left on them and the guy is only asking 400 for all 4 tires. Plus this was the tire i wanted anyways. Any way you think i can make this work? Im Located in WA

I see rockstars have a +10 offset. Do you guys think i can squeeze them in there on this rim or should i just give up all together on trying to get these tires to fit

A +18 offset wheel would work, but it sounds like Blackout has tried this setup and it rubbed pretty good, so just be prepared to trim or possibly take a hammer to your fender.

Get that setup if you want it, and when you put it on and they rub install a 3" body lift. My buddy has an '03 Regency Silverado with a 4" Pro Comp suspension lift and when he put Dale Jr. Cannons (18x9) on it with a 33x12.5 he had to trim the bottom of the front valance or it would have rubbed. Not to be a grey cloud on your sunny day but 285/70/17 is your max on just a torsion crank without beating the piss out of your fenders or chopping them all up.

Correct. And this was on an 03 HD, which was a good 2" higher than a 1500.
