Debaged, Now What?

Ok guys, I took the big bowtie off my tailgate last night(huge PITA by the way) with the intention of replacing it with a black billet one that I've got, but the more I look at it I don't really think it looks that bad without it. What should I do?

 

and the dealer sticker and flex fuel badge will be gone soon. But I like the silverado and LT ones.

I voted for the blank look to. Also take that flex fuel sticker off, it will look even better. Mine fell of the day after i bought it home.

That does look really good. I've been contemplating doing that myself. I think it looks a lot better without the bowtie.

you next move should be removing the free advertising for the dealer. The flex fuel should go also, the rest is optional but I think it looks best with the talgate completely clean.

I took off everything but the Silverado and LT badges (including the Z71 flank decals). I haven't decided what to do about those chrome letters yet...it would be a major pain to put them back on, so I'll give myself a few months to think about it.

I can't believe you went to the extent required to remove the bowtie and not the dealer sticker first! Dealer sticker should always be removed first! All you need is a hair dryer for the dealer sticker! Takes less than 2 minutes once its plugged in. I realize you already removed it though.

 

The lettering is ok, I mean what are you going for? Avoiding someone identifying what truck you drive? If you like the lettering keep it!

I actually did clean off one dealer sticker first. When I bought it they shipped it from another dealership and took the letters off from the first one but didn't clean off the residue. The dealer sticker and flex fuel tags will be gone by the end of the week, don't worry.

Kinda reminds me of the Sierra tailgate badging, with the model in the left corner and the GMC badge on the right. I just couldn't stand that big gold bowtie staring at me from the middle of the gate.

I didn't like the gold one at all. The only reason I'm even considering putting the black one on is that I really like how it looks on this color. I'm just indecisive.

NO your not....I personally dontlike the bowtie on the back with any color. Funny thing with mine and no badging what so ever except the grill bowtie.....is I get a question now and then..."What kind of truck is that?" It's hard to not laugh but i just tell them it's a Silverado, only once has a person said.."A Chevy truck then?".
