Adding Armrests:

I have read several posts regarding armrests in the forum, mostly removal, which I can understand if the armrest is not at the appropriate height. I would like to add at least a driver

side armrest, since after driving a buddies 2001 Yuke it was

perfect (we are both 6'3"). Wife is a foot shorter so we can

figure it too legs, rather than torso. I searched the RPO data

and saw armrests only with bucket seats. Any ideas here appreciated.

I'm guessing you have the 40/20/40 split bench?  I doubt you can add anything to it to make it better other than fabricating some extra padding on top of the fold down center section.

 

The only other thing I think you could do is swap out the split bench for the bucket seats...

Well I've got buckets with armrests in my 99 and being 6'5, the armrest is still too low.  Don't know if you'll find anything else from an upholstry shop or such that'll work for you.

I am 5'10" ad I don't use the armrest because it is too low.

Not only is the seat mounted armrest to low, it is way to close to you to be comfortable.

The Sierra incorporates the spilt bench design

in this model. I appreciate all of your replies

I don't like the armrest because they're to close to the body, does anyone have or know where to buy a padded arm rest to go on top of the center console lid?
