Another New Tires Thread.. What Do You Think?

So I have an 08 Sierra SLT and need new tires, HAd a blowout that was unrepairable on my Goodyear Fortera's, however Goodyear has since discontinued them in the 20" size. (They were down to about 5 or 6/32's anyhow) So I'm just going to get new.

I have come to dislike 20" rims (275/55/20). I don't think they're as functional for a truck, as well, the tire selection is limited. AND its ridiculous how little room there is on the GMC's in the front, so I cant even go half inch bigger (275/60/20) without adding a level kit. I tow alot, so am avoiding the level kit because then I would need to lift the back end as well, to avoid sag when hitched up. That said... Here are my options. I searched on the forum and from what I've read, I'm leaning towards the Dynapro ATMs.

In no particular order:

1) Hankook Dynapro ATM

2) Firestone Destination AT

3) Kumho Road Venture AT

4) Yokohama Geolander AT

5) Cooper Discoverer AT3

Cooper Discoverer :)

ahaha that aint biased advice at all  (both of us)

but to tell you the truth im gonna stick with cooper stuff, its really good! ive had mickey thompson MTZ's, Cooper discoverer STT's (2 sets), nokians and now Dick Cepek FC-2's all 33x12.5s and ive NEVER had an issue. their is a few other brands made by cooper but i forget. the cepeks i have now are goin on alost 60k kms on them still about 60%...pretty good. never had to air up or air down(pretty good considering my truck endures -45C weather every winter) ..awesome tires

One thing I like about the hankook's is they have the deepest tread depth out of the bunch. (13/32s) The coopers have 11/32s.

I am very happy to say that we can agree on something again! Coopers are great tires and I would consider the new AT/3's for your application.

I'm more than likely going with the AT3's on mine before 11/7/2011. That is the date the $75 Rebate ends on the AT3's. From the reviews and everything Cooper says, they seem to be the new AT to beat on the market. I saw a set in person last week while I was getting tires put on the car, and they are a good looking tire and seem to well built. You get what you pay for most of the time and i've not heard too many good things about Hankook tires. Plus Cooper's are made in the USA! We need to support this country more than ever the way things are going.
