Strange Things Winter Makes Your Truck Do

Whats winter???

 

Here in E. Tx., we have almost summer, summer, deer season, and get ready for almost summer.

Mine decided to kill a battery last Thursday on one of the coldest mornings of the year but that isn't really strange, just that my battery needed to be replaced at the most inconvenient time. I couldn't believe that the standard battery is a 600CCA in MN, seemed awfully low power to start a V8 in negative temps and then add wind chill on top of that. New battery I got it is 800CCA.

 

One of the strange things my truck does do though is:

 

One of the vent fans on the passenger side likes to make noise when I turn left until the truck warms up.

Back drivers side makes a really weird clunk when I first start driving but I think it is related to that tire.

Truck sounds like a diesel.

Interior pieces make more noise.

The brakes can be extremely sensitive.

 

I do have to say though that even with these quirkes I do love my truck. You can't beat the heated seats, they heat up extremely fast. The truck warms up at a decent pace and am usually starting to get warm before I hit the highway (1 mile away).

Here, we have Snow, followed by ICE, followed by more cold, followed by mud everywhere, followed by 2 weeks of beach weather, follower by cold, followed by snow.

yuck.

BUT, there is that 2 wonderful weeks.
