Higher than normal idle after throttle body cleaning

I have a 2003 2500HD with the 6.0. Yesterday I pulled the throttle body off to clean it. After driving it I noticed the idle was a little higher than normal when I was slowing down to a stop. Once I came to a stop it idled fine. I was wondering if these trucks had a "re-learn" process that I need to perform or if it is something that it will fix on its own?

Thanks,

I remember reading a thread from who knows how long ago regarding similar symptoms. If I recall yes, your truck is going through a "re-learn" sequence. If it continues however I'm unsure of what it could be. If I can dig up the old thread I'll post it up. Try a search, you might find it before I can.

I would think disconnecting the battery for a few minutes would re-initiate the learn cycle. I know after replacing the battery on my wife's Trailblazer it wouldn't idle with the A/C on because the throttle body was filthy. The battery removal reset the programming of the ECU and it didn't realize how dirty the throttle body was. I cleaned the throttle body and then reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery and resolved the issue.
