roughcountry 3.5 lift kit

I have a 2007 silverado i put the 3.5 lift from roughcountry and with in the first 6000 miles my balljoint went bad on the drivers side. Did anyone else have this kit or know of any trouble with it.

If you search you will find plenty of complaints on the kit in question. On this forum and others as well.

kit is junk, good luck fighting with rough country to get your money back. tons of threads on coil springs rubbing, ball joints exploding, horrible ride, tons of problems...

here is something i have noticed about this kit. pretty much the 2007-2009 trucks, there seems to be problems with this kit. I dont know why, but maybe GM changed something from those years??? My 2011 has had this kit for 10,000 miles with out any problems. If the kit starts giving me headaches.... i already have a replacement idea.

 

either a 2.5" leveling kit (cheap route), OR zone 4.5" lift. *COUG H IT UP*

It's nothing that GM changed. It's just that it took RC that long to figure out there was a problem...or maybe to care that there was one.

coincidentally enough, i just read a very favorable review of this kit in the issue of four wheeler. i immediately thought of all the unfavorable reviews written on this site when i read it.
