2006 2500HD Trailer Brakes

I recently traded in my 2005 1500HD in on a 2006 2500HD 6.6TD. After plugging in my brake controller that worked in the 05 it doesn't seem to work in the 06. The manual bypass lever works but when I press the brake pedal it doesn't. Does anyone know if their is a wiring change or a fuse that might be blown. My new truck has wiring for a pull behind as well as a 5th wheel. Thanks

Check underneath the hood in the fuse box .. there should be three fuses with a sticker on top of all of them, one of them is a dummy fuse and might still be pluged in. You would need to replace it with the 40amp that comes taped to the wiring harness for the brake controller.
