Using a new rental silverado

and WOW is that 6 speed wonderful. It really wakes up the 5.3. I heard all the mixed reviews on here but im one of the guys who loves it, and ive only driven it a couple days so it hasnt really "learned" my driving yet. I can only IMAGINE how wonderful the 6 speed/ 6.2 combo would be. Oh and no squeaking windows/ drive shaft clunk is a plus too.

 

Truck is getting new lifters, shock (07 AFM 5.3 52k miles)

I love my 6.2 6 speed with 3.42's. It finally woke up at 8000 miles last month. And it was already fast.

6.2/6 speed here/3:42's but with the z60 package, Im loving it more and more. BB tune, LT headers, this mofo is seriously fast.

And when that happens GM will have stopped offering the 6.2 in there trucks.LOL

You will be stuck with a 4.8 or 5.3

No from what Ive seen, they are dropping the 4.8 in favor of keeping the 6.2, and everything is going GDI. Heck, even the V6 will put out over 300hp.
