howmanyyouneed Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 i just bought a 2011 tahoe, and I was wondering it there is a hood fix so that the hood opens to a normal position, I wonder what chinese midget thought the hood open height was sufficient. i hit my head on it 4 times today changing the oil, most hoods open at least to a 45 degree angle, this hood barely opens to 25 degrees. Hood mods anyone
8.1HD/ALLISON Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Haven't heard of one, but I feel your pain. Its stupid.
tesnoboy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 It's so short people can close it! ;-) AKA the Mexicans at the Quickie Lube! ;-)
howmanyyouneed Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 I think that should be a recall issue. It's so short people can close it! ;-) AKA the Mexicans at the Quickie Lube! ;-) then put a strap on it like that low opening tailgate that has a strap
Wolfmanjohn Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 That "low opening" height keeps it from bouncing off my open garage door. Since I back my truck in there, it's a blessing in disguise for me. Besides, I'm 5' 7" (and a Caucasian)!
