what is the deal with the forum start page Advance auto pop-up?

someone explain to me why when I load the page in safari this pop up from advance auto comes up and blocks the log in area and cannot be moved

there is no way to log in with that stupid thing.

I had to use FF just to log in

and yes, pop up blocker is on and it still does it

Really? This is not from us directly. If it happens again can you take a screenshot and post it in this thread? It may be something passed through google adsense. If so, we can block it and will. Popups are NOT cool in our book.

 

There is a slight chance it is something on your computer and isolated to you. We can find out by asking everyone else if they have seen this popup too.

I'm using safari and do not see it

see it only happens to me when I use safari.

 

just now, I loaded it and it was not there. But this only happens about half the time I go to sign in.

the next time it shows up, I get a screen shot.

the pop up covers the fields where you put in your password and user name and there is no "x" to close it.

all you can do is flip through the ads and if you click on it it opens up the whole page.

Is it possible this is coming from another site where a cookie was saved on your PC? I use Firefox with adblocker plus and have never seen a pop-up ad. You might try clearing your cookies and see if that solves the issue.

I would please ask that you would disable your ad-blocker for this site. I know you don't have to do anything... but I'll ask nicely.
