NEED HELP...start-up problem

Definately a problem with the Volant CAI, it acts the same exact way on my brothers truck. Initial start up same problem....Guess I just have to keep trying to deal with Volant to get this solved.

 

Can they send you a other one free of charge ? Maybe you have a defective product.

Not sure what they can or will do. It's hard enough to get an answer back from them....They say "we are testing a 2011 5.3 Silverado" and have this issue sometimes. I guess they don't have a fix for it?

First start up today it was 64 outside, truck still choked out when first started........

Man.....that is a lot of good information that you are sharing! Sorry it has been such a rough road for you. I will do a search for all of your other posts to follow along. I swapped my Volant from my 2009 (with no issues ever in 70,000 miles) to my 2011 and it occasionally throws a rich code for both banks. This may happen within 30 miIes of resetting, or 3,000 miles. I have done a different MAF, a throttle body spacer, cleaned off plastic flashing around edges, etc. with no help. Daniel did send me a new rubber adapter for the throttle body, but I used the old parts for the rest of the kit. I did notice that the rubber bellows fromt the tube to the airbox seemed just a little too short, as it would pop off at times. After a few adjustments, this has not happened at all.
