275/70r18 or 285/65r18 bf goodrich A/T

Hey y'all, I have a 2010 silverado z71 with a ready lift leveling kit. I am getting new tires and wanted to see what y'all recommended. Should I go with the 275's or the 285's. I am looking at the spy 797 18" rims in black. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I am going 275's because they are slightly taller. Also I do not like wider tires as they cause more rock chips

I think the 275's. boom11 just bought a set and looks good. are you getting the 18x9 or 18x8.5. The offset on the 9's are -12, and the 8.5's are +18. Love the color and the steps!

Welcome! NIce truck! IMO, the 285's look just a bit better, because they are wider. Also, the 285's are a little shorter than the 275's.....so they wont effect your speedometer and overall gear ratio as much. However, the 275's will look just fine...and last time I checked, they were much cheaper than the 285's. If it were my money, I'd get the 275's, because I don't think the 285's are worth the extra cost.

I was just making the same decision. I found a pretty good deal on some 18" MotoMetal 951's for $170 free shipping. And I am going to school in Rapid City, SD which is very close to a retread factory in Hot Springs called TreadWright. I got some 285/65R18's for $160. And I just picked them up myself because I was so close. The funny thing is that they use BF Goodrich A/T sidewalls and their tread is very simillar to the real tire. Idk how much of that is a viable option for you but here are the links.

 

MotoMetal 951 I got some with +18mm offset but all they have left is -12mm but the site still seems cheaper than most places

I've been debating the same thing. Personally, I like the look of the 285's but I think I'm leaning toward the 275's for cost. But who knows, i might change my mind tomorrow.

I mounted my wheels today and drove it for the first time. There is some minor rubbing on the back of the wheel wells when I turn. I also forgot to mention that I installed a readylift 2.25" leveling kit. I will probably trim some plastic off tomorrow.
