my 2011 sierra has a pink wire located on the 6 pin of the ignation harness that is no longer working. does any one have a solution to this problom?

My remote wire was hooked up to it... i have noticed no change in my truck and have called the dealership to find out what it is for and no answer,

I was wondering if there is a fuse i can check ....or if this would give a code i could look for cause i have taken my truck to the dealership because of a check engine light do to a jump start, but the said the truck was good, but there is still no power to the pink wire.

What do you mean does not work? What were you doing to the truck when this happened? My schematics show a pink/black wire as being a signal to the BCM that the ignition switch is closed. If you didn't mess this up by messing with something you shouldn't like a garbage aftermarket remote start then just get it to the dealership.

Okay so i took my 2011 gmc sierra to get a amp installed and after having it a couple months my amp went out . Its hook up to a pink wire in the ignation harness and now the pink wire doesnt work. i was wondering what i have to do to get working agian?

Both the amp and main power wire for the amp fuse are good. It is just that the remote wire was hooked up to this pink wire on pin 6 of the harness. Now im trying to figure out how to fix it.

im positive it is just a solid pink wire and my remote wire was connected to it. my truck is working fine, i just want to know how to get this wire working again. where could i find the shematics to my truck??? i really want to get this fixed before i have a bigger issue on my hands. i might be mistaken as by saying the ignation hareness, but it location is the upper left harness located in the panel on the driver side.. i would greatly appreciate any help!!!!!

I subscribe to all data. I suggest you bring the truck back to the people who installed it. It sounds like they cut a corner and just grabbed a random wire for 12V ignition or something.
