Does it have a volume readout? My 2011 audio/nav does not show volume level when adjusting.

So let me get this straight, you put a 2012 navigation unit into a 2011 Silverado?? I was under the impression that they were not compatable due to the wiring and plugs being different. If you don't mind how much did this cost you as I am thinking of installing factory Nav or factory looking Nav into my 2012 Silverado. How different is this new nav unit from the older ones. Was the modifications due to the wiring being different??

They are different but My Audio guy has a kit with adapters for the antennas, main plug and usb to covert it for a 2007-2011.Price wise it's about the same as previous Nav ,you're going to pay around $1500 for the Unit and from Him it comes programmed(by send a pic of your build tag codes). The 2012 Unit is hard drive based so no navigation disc,it's much more fluid and pleasant looking than the previous Nav but very simple and user Friendly. I won't go aftermarket on Nav again until ones proven to boot instantly,I'm always a mile down the road before the are loaded up and running.Btw,yes the small mods to the dash behind the unit were due to the antennas coming out in different places than the 2007-2011 model unit.

So where is CPS Audio Video and a good way to contact them as this sounds like the way I want to go. Does he have those units in stock and are they new or used. Sorry for all the questions but is the maps still on DVD or are they stored on the hard drive?
