We have it on our 11 Acadia and the OnStar app on the phone. We like it.

Onstar says they are going thru some upgrades right now (for the last 2 months) they are having some issues. They let me down about 2 weeks ago on a trip. I tried to use them again for directions the other day and could not connect due to issues they are having with their upgrades. In their defense though, when I have used it, for directions, information etc.. it is very convienent.

I dont subscribe, I believe the crash monitoring should be free with the equipment installed on my truck, especially when you know what a loaded truck one goes for in my area.
