Finished my towing mirrors

Well I did it. I finally got around to doing the towing mirror swap and it couldn't have been easier.

First off a huge thanks to Trav_13 for the mirrors...they look great.

Now for the install, I'm not going to do a write up as many before me already have but it couldn't have been simpler, these are non power, non heat, non signal....non anything so there were no electronics to play with. The drivers side was on within 5 to 10 minutes. Now for the passenger side it was a bit of a different story, since the driver's side was so easy I figured I would make this side a little tougher by dropping one of the nuts into the door, making me remove the door panel to retrieve it. Once I got the nut back it went on very easily like the first side. I'm not planning on going anywhere today so I haven't driven with them yet but I will within the next day or two. I took before and after pics and will have those up once I'm on my computer

Wow, you actually wasted a post to tell me this? I was on my xoom and can't get the photo's from my camera to the xoom, I need to do it via the computer.....

19202235 replace the DL8 mirrors if you want to upgrade to turn signals. I just got mine today and will hopefully have them on tomorrow night.

Are those powered and heated camping mirrors? Is that the GM part number? Where are you guys getting these?

Yes they are heated and power, not power folding. If you have the DL3 mirrors i think there is a different part number that replaces them because there are 2 plugs(going off what i have read). I got mine from shopchevyparts.com they were $398.87 to the door. I couldn't find any cheaper. gmpartdirect.com was the cheapest untill you shipped them, $80 for shipping so they were $404.

Yes, I actually wasted a post because I get a good price on them if I post in bulk.

It would be like me saying I just fabricated this new custom lightbar and it looks badass, you'll all have to take my word for it since I don't have a pic to put up. I just couldn't wait to make a thread I was so anxious!

Well I have a W/T and am trying to get the cheapest mirrors possible. I can't justify almost $400 for a set of mirrors.

Mine is a W/T as well and those mirrors are non heat / non power / non signal / just plain manual mirrors they run about $150 a set

Well please forgive me then...I'm sorry I should have paid attention to the unwritten rules for posting online of someone I don't know and have never met before.

Maybe you should post up your rules for everyone to read in order to not be ridiculed...even better maybe everyone should post up thier rules so nobody gets offended ever...Or I have an even better idea maybe you should give me your home number and that way I can run any posts by you prior to my posting them and make sure you approve.
