Any new news in the engine knock department!!

What is the latest in this department!  I am waiting for the right time to talk to my dealership!!  I have been watching all the posts about this, from this site to the putc forum

 

   I made a quick call to another local dealership this morning, just to see if they would bite,  Well he just nibbled a little bit!!!  I told him that I have a really bad engine knock on first startup and when warm I am experiancing a rough idle every so often. I asked if i should get it chencked out and he told me yes, I then asked him if this was normal and he said some are normal and some are not,  I then explained to him that I new a few guys in cali, Mn, Fl and Conn, that GM replaced  there engines for them.  He told me that they were not doing that right now but to check in, in about 3-4 weeks.

Which makes me believe that they know something, Because just a couple of months ago they told me that this was completly normal and gm would be crazy to replace these engines.
