hey all, im new to this forum, just have a question for other NNBS owners. ive got an 11 silvy 4x4 and i cant get the gas pump to fill without shutting off every few dollors its so annoying it litterally takes me 10 min to fill my tank. i iv taken it back to the dealer with about 5,000 miles and they changed the filler neck that worked for a month, took it back with about 6500 on it and they changed the neck again, the tank and the roll over valve. now its been about 2 months and ive got 9,000 miles and it its starting up again worse this time. i cant even put the nozzle in all the way for the springs to touch only about 1/2" of the nozzle can goin. anyone hav any idea or heard of this?

I had the same kind of problem on some gas stations if the spout is to long . All I did to fix it was pull it out a bit . I have a habit on mine now to not stick it in all the way .

G/f kia would do that, was a problem with the charcoal can hooked to the vent

It can be a problem with evap system sometimes

its not the stations, its done it at about 10 different locations, and 3 towns, maybe the evap but i cant even put it in far enough for the spring to go into the neck. maybe evap dealer says a light would come on it it was an evap issue. idk i might force the lemon law soon tho if i cant put gas in i cant drive it so they can keep it.

THIS or you need to pull it out a bit. Or you have a lemon LOL

If the station pumps the fuel out at a fast rate and you have it all the way in it shuts off you get to figure it out like above posters said.

no guys, i was having to pull out 90% of the way, like the spring and most of the nozzle was out of the neck, anyway they did find it at the dealer, it was the charcoal canister that exploded and cloged all my lines and my vents to the tank so it should be fixed now. only took 4 trips to get it fixed tho, first was a filler neck next was a roll over valve then they changed the tank and finally found the cannister.

you would think they would test it at the dealer to see if their fix work or not.

    • Shock and spring rates are specific to the NHT max tow package.  Changing them will alter the performance of the suspension.   Not even the factory GM Trail Boss 2 in lift is compatible with NHT trucks as well.
    • Thanks, all. It sounds like keeping the software "as is" is the best course of action.
    • https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overengineering   Excerpt from the above link: (BTW the above is a 90 second read)   [Quote]   A story about very precise engineering is given in the 1858 story The Deacon's Masterpiece or, the Wonderful "One-hoss Shay": A Logical Story by Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr., which tells of a carriage (one-horse shay) Because it had been engineered so that no single piece failed first – no piece was over-engineered relative to the others, and they thus all collapsed at the same time. A similar quote by Ferdinand Porsche claimed "the perfect race car crosses the finish line in first place and immediately falls into pieces."[5]   [End Quote}   By Engineering's  own definition then; the AFM and Torque Converters, 4-5-6 clutch assembly of the 6L80E, and a dozen other common chronic parts and systems failures are "UNDER ENGINEERED". And by their own definition done so with INTENT. Ya can't have it both ways OEM's.

    • I was in Utah this week attempting a bow hunt in the Wasatch mountains with friends.  On the evening of the first hunt, making my way across a ridge to a friends camp, the upper control arm on the driver's side separated, the CV axle got trashed, and the wheel was dang near at a 45 degree angle to the ground.  I was able to get it towed off the mountain and into town about 3:00 am, and spent the remainder of the night in an O'Reilly's parking lot.  Luckily, there was a Chevrolet dealership not to far away so I was able to get to the dealership and pick up a new CV and UCA.  It would have been a few days before they could have gotten to the truck and I brought tools with me on hunt since it was a two day drive to get there, so I did the repairs myself in the O'Reilly's parking lot.      What's interesting is that the UCA ball joint didn't break, it just popped out of the bottom of the UCA.  There was VERY LITTLE evidence of grease on the ball joint or in the socket, and you could see where the ball joint had warbled out part of the socket over time.  I guess that's what happens over 186K miles of use :)   Big Kudos to O'Reilly's for letting me work on the truck in their parking lot.  However, they made a $150+ off of me from the purchase of various tools, so I guess it was in their best interest anyways :)   Getting towed off the mountain.   UCA Ball Joint Socket   Trashed CV   Suspension disconnected and UCA and CV Removed   New UCA and CV installed with the suspension buttoned up.
