I am just curios what everyone is useing to wax there trucks with. I bought my truck in November and this weekend looks like the first one i would be able to wash and wax it. So i guess my question is what do people recomend sense i have never been to into/knowledgeable with waxing.

What are you looking for?

Looks? Ease of Application? How long it lasts? Cost?

Probably ease of application and how long it last. I don't mind spending some coin if it last a long time but i don't want to spend 5 hours waxing either.

the longest lasting wax i have ever used is collinite 845. Great stuff and its cheap (like $15 a bottle.)

I too like Adams, my truck hasn't been waxed in over a year and it's still beading. I will get to it as soon as the major home projects are complete!

I have the porter cable polisher, big time saver with no worry of burn through.

Do you think I can find that Collinite wax at the local auto parts store? Any hints or tricks also i should be aware while useing it or any wax. (Kinda new to waxing first new truck want to do it right)

Apply Collinite VERY, VERY THIN! It last pretty darn good and gives a nice shine! I applied it on my truck right before winter and it is beading still!

I use Meguiar's NXT Gen. Tchx wax 2.0... Goes on easily, removes easily, and doesn't leave a white film on the black trim. It can be found at just about any auto supply store.

I used Meguiar's Tech NXT 2.0 wax the first time I waxed my truck, goes on easy & comes off easy. Good results.

But, now I use Adam's & I love it!

Agreed. I picked mine up at advanced auto parts.. made the SSS look (.Y.) Will be putting a nice coat on the new truck soon.
