Any H2 owners?

Since this is the light duty forum, I was wondering if anyone on here has an Hummer H2.  They must have sold darn near 15000 units by now, so I'd imagine at least someone on the board has one...

I know they are selling like mad in Western PA.  I'm buying one but I refuse to pay sticker for something so I'll wait a year or two.

You'd be lucky to pay just sticker here in the Bay Area.  They're going for 5-10k over last I checked.

I saw a black one last week with 20" wheels and low profile tires, but with stock ride height (not that it'd look any better dropped).  #### I wanted to slap the guy...

I've seen several around the Cleveland area.  The yellow seems to be the front runner for color around here so far...either that or the same guy is following me around.

I have a yellow one and love it!  I bought mine last July.  As you can see by my profile I have done a few mods to it....I have the Whipple supercharger, stainless steel exhaust, ceramic coated headers, and Ed Wright tuning.  It now runs like it should have from the factory!!  I put on 18" Ambush wheels with mudders and it looks pretty good. :jester:

I am sure that the Whipple kit is close to the same as the Tahoe, etc. kit, but the engine management is different.  The H2 has the torque management that doesn't just work when the transmission shifts, but it will retard the ignition in the middle of a gear. Whipples management doesn't address this problem so the supercharger actually makes it worse!  I called Whipple and they said that they do not presently have a fix and that it is GM's fault! I sent the PCM to Ed Wright and he programmed all of the torque management out of it and tweeked it a bit!  I got it back 2 days later and installed it and now it screams!!

From what I've heard and understand, the H2 is based from the 3/4 ton Surburban frame.  Not a light duty vehicle.

I second that about Western PA.  They are all over the place now.  The dealerships that sell them can not keep them in stock.  Something I found interesting is that a small dealership that does not have a large area (ie 25000 people within a certain radius cannot sell this vehicle....)

I heard they are selling over sticker in some places.  Cochran in Monroeville, PA is selling them for sticker.  Its a badd Azz truck but its under powered.  I thought supercharger also when I drove it.  If something gets 8 miles to the gallon, it better run like a scalded ape.  Seems that it would be a good canidate for the 300 horse diesel.  At least it would get better fuel mileage.  Its not the cost as much as it is the hassle of filling it up so much.  My Escalade gets 13 average and only has like a 20 gallon tank.  Is that stupid or what?

We must live pretty close.  #1 Cochran is one of my biggest clients (computer network).  I swear everyday they are getting a shipment of H2's & they are gone by the end of the day....atleast it seems like it.

From what I've heard floating around a few Hummer dealerships is that the Duramax will be an option soon.  If this is true, I would hold out for it.  I've been in a H2 for a test drive and I agree, they dont get up and go to well.  But remember the weight of that thing....not sure if I want something that heavy snapping my neck back...LOL.

Well the thing is like around 6000 lbs. isn't it?  That's alot of machine to push around even for the 6.0L.  The Duramax, 8.1, or maybe even this supposed upcoming Cadillac V12 would be a nice option.  At least make it available.  It's obvious that the folks buying the H2 right now are pretty well off and could probably pony up an extra $5k for a Duramax/Allison powertrain.
