Memorial day is around the corner and that means the start of the summer boating season here in North Alabama on Lake Guntersville! This by far is my favorite time of the year, nothing like tying up several boats with friends and family and enjoying life on the lake in the summer.

What do you have? Pictures? And what's your plans this summer?

Everybody stay safe on the water this year!

sw6416,

What do you think of the Tahoe? I like the looks and have thought about looking for a used one.

I like mine a lot .... Just wanted something dependable, good on gas, big enough to lay around on and cruise around in. Started to buy a new one but came across on a good deal on this one. I have the 3.0 mercruiser with alpha one out drive 19.5'..... We have enjoyed it much more than we thought we would .... No regrets.

well maybe one regret ..... The wife has taken up fishing and would like to have a fish and ski model, would make it easier on me trying to put her on fish and bating hooks removing fish ect

Is it just you and your wife, or do you take any other people with you? Does it seem like the 3.0 has enough power to pull a skier?

For the most part it's just usually me and the wife who launch, but usually turns into others meeting up and so on. My boat will run 44mph top end according to the speedo on the boat. As far as skiers I can't say for sure we do not ski but we do lots of tubing. I have a 3 person towable and will run in the low 40's mph according to the speedo pulling a tube but hardly ever get that fast as we are more the laid back crowd. I have had 4 adults on board several times and it will run about the same as with 2 around 44mph loaded with gear, tube, drinks, ice for built in cooler, food ect. I will say this about the Tahoe boats they seem to ride a little rough in choppy water and are a little more finicky to plane out and not have the up and down porpoising effect and also have significant bow wander at low speeds. I did a lot of looking around over at iboats forum and found most have corrected these issues with Nauticus smart tabs, which I installed this week (FYI for around $100) and will have more info after this weekend when I get to try them out. From what I have read is a pretty common problem with most all boats no matter the maker that are runabouts.
