4.56 installed

Got my truck back from 4 wheel parts in Sacramento last night. They installed a set of G2 4.56 gears front and rear along with master rebuild kits. I didn't realize how much power I was missing after driving for so long with the 3.73 and 295 70 17 until now. It is like a whole new truck!

Now on to the questions and answers.

1- the tech said G2 recommended 85 140 during break in when I questioned the weight of oil they installed (Lucas). Is this right or should I switch back to gm recommendations.

2- yes it threw the abs light out of whack but selecting 4.56 gears with my superchips cortex programmer fixed the issue.

Over all I am extremely happy with the shop and gear choice. Hopefully this fixes the gear hunting during towing.

I used the OEM weight Royal Purple. The shop told me I wouldn't have to change it as there was no real break in. They are a performance shop that does a lot of track cars and hot rods. Glad you were able to clear the ABS lights. You'll have a beast for towing.

Oldschool, what size tires are you running, and what kind of RPMs are you running at 70?

You have the 4spd right?

I have 4;10,s with an allison 5spd, but knock the 4:10,s back with the 33-34" tires..

Whats your 70-75 mph like now..What rpm are you at..

Would justin have to tune for that?

How much was the total?? Parts- Labor-

I really thought a bout doing this, seems like im always towing something...

And im not really low on tq/pwr, but with the big tires...

Im just concerned about total cost, and cruising rpm,s around 75-80 mph
