08 Silverado Door Rust

My 08 Silverado has a half dollar-size rust spot on bottom of passenger door.Does my warranty cover "rust" even though i have 55,000 miles on the truck???

Rust through (hole)? Maybe, rust spot, doubtful. All the same ask a dealer and see what they say. Worst case is no & then go to another dealer for a second opinion.

Rust spots/corrosion is only covered up to 60,000km or 3 years. It would have to rust through to be covered now.

You don't really need to call the dealer. They are going to look at it, and if it's not a physical hole through the sheet metal, they'll tell you to go away.

GM's rust warranty is a bunch of marketing BS. By the time a hole rusts through, the warranty is gone. And nobody would leave a rusting spot on a new ride, so it won't rust through....
