Gettin' a grip on Elsie Pea

Hey all I got a little package in the mail today. I received my Houge Handall grip sleeve for Elsie. I have the CT LG-431 and had a really hard time finding this grip. Well, a couple of minutes and 2 punches later the grip sleeve was installed. I actually decided to order one of these after my last trip to the range with my wife, brother-in-law, dad and a friend. We brought a ton of guns and wife hasn't so much as handle a firearm in ten years. She tried almost everything. She loved my SR9c the most and was 9 and 10 ringing it with in 4 shots. Her complaint with Elsie is it hurt her hand even more than my brother-in-laws S&W 686 with .357 magnums. So I thought about it a bit and decided to order the Hogue Handall Grip Sleeve. I have one word to describe the level of comfort Elsie has now. WOW. I threw Elsie in my Tuff size 12 pocket holster and even though the grip is now fatter, Elsie does not carry any different. I obviously have not gotten to the range yet, so I don't know how much more comfortable the recoil will be, but judging by the feel and thickness of the grip sleeve, I'm confident it will be a big reduction in felt recoil. More precisely I think the snap will go away. The laser activation was not effected in the least by adding the grip. If anything it easier to control. Between this grip, the Pearce extended floor plates and the CT laser I thing you'd be hard pressed to find a better pocket 380.

This grip doesn't just slide over it is actually attached to the gun. You start with removing the hammer spring seat, then drift out the rear frame pin. The grip is then slid on it has a new hammer spring seat built in. Once it's in position you then drift in the new longer frame pin provided with the grip. It's not like others that will slide around on the frame of the gun.

As for felt recoil reduction. I have yet to get to the range with it, but I will keep you posted. I also plan to add the Galloway Precision stainless steel guide rod and 13lbs recoil springs.
