2008 Silverado Center Console Upgrade

I just installed my DIC upgrade in my 2008 Silverado LT. I love it. I wish I would have researched all these GM upgrades years ago. I am gonna stay with the interior for now and I am looking to remove the factory ebony center jump seat. I want to install the factory center condole in its place. Does anyone have any experience with this? If you have pics that would be awesome. Where is the best place to pick up a center consloe. Thanks

It's easy. Unbolt your 2 front seats (total of 8 bolts) and it lifts right out, the 2 front seats are what holds it in place. Slide the new one in and bolt back up. Best places are ebay, forums or craigslist.

X2. The cheapest I found on Ebay was around $6-700. Crazy for plastic but looks better and has more storage.

 

Of course the tan ones are around $350-400.

when i found my old ebony one on ebay i paid 250 + 50 in shipping it was brand spanking new out of a wrecked truck... then sold my center jump seat for 200 and a chrome grill for 150 to a customer of mine..best day ever...... there are deals out there to be had just gotta keep looking

Did you ever get this figured out. Where are you located, I am trying to get a jump seat instead of my center consol, I am hoping to find someone local in AZ to swap with so I can take all the kids in my truck this next week on Fall break.

Go to the Chevy or GMC website and look at the interior photos, you'll see what it looks like.

I would check local recyclers before e-bay. I'm in Ontario and most wouldn't ship here. I was patient and found a console for $140 taxes in. It's complete with even the cup holders. Also,it's for the true truck dash.
