bad news

Well, after smelling anti-freeze for the last week or so, I decided to check out the problem. No visual leaks from the hoses, radiator, or water pump. Took it in for an oil change today, got under the truck and noticed a little green spot under the head. Mechanic came over and pointed out the back of the head was loaded with stains!!!

The engine has maybe 4,000 miles on it since being put in and it now has to go in for head work next week...I'm getting itred of this truck!!!

The good news is it's all under warranty  :thumb:

Bummer, man!  They might be able to determine what caused it, non-flat head, torqued wrong, etc (Maybe just a bad gasket? ) .

Can't remember, but wasn't this one you had rebuilt or built?

It's probably just as you said, bad gasket, not torqued correct.

I installed a new Goodwrench motor in Sept, heads were already on it.
