ROUGH IDLE GMC SEIRRA 2008 5.3 VORTEC

Purchaced my 1st truck 2008 Seirra 5.3 vortec engine. On Idle the engine is very rough the truck almost shakes, its the worst in the mornings, checked it in recently with the dealer here in calgary canada for a complete check up and they noticed nothing, took it to another shop they recommended a throttle body service which they did, still the same , any tips or idea as to why this happens.

could be a sticky idle air control valve in the throttle body. If you pull the instake tube off you spray carburator cleaner in the port to see if that helps. My 2012 does not shake like what you describe.

The 5.3L engine has been known to idle that way since forever. If it gets worse or you get a CEL, take it to the dealer.

Sounds normal to me.

My '03 Tahoe 5.3 and '10 Sierra 5.3 never felt rough and dont seem like they are ready to shake. Sold the Tahoe to my cousin with almost 200k mies and she is still smooth. I've got about 14k miles on the Sierra. I dont know except take it into the dealer. My Sierra is smooth, morning, night cold weather and hot weather.
