Advent has just released an update for iPhone 5/iOS 6 users that fixes some issues with A2DP audio streaming on OGM1 units that have older Bluetooth software installed.

The upgrade affects ONLY HW200-SW323. You can find out what version of Bluetooth software you have by pressing "Setup-Info", the reading the Bluetooth line.

The upgrade will have no effect if your Bluetooth version is anything different than SW323, such as HW200-SW331.

Please email me via the contact form on ADCMobile.com and I'll send you the file.

Personal note: The Advent guys continue to amaze me! They're the first manufacturer I'm aware of to address some of the shortcomings of iOS6, and they did it in a week. That is an incredible response!

Prior to the update all I could do with a2dp was connect to the ogm1 and use the the iPhone 5 to control what music to play, after the update, the iPhone connects automatically, you go to phone, a2dp and hit play, the ogm1 is back in control with ios 6. Next track, previous track, play, if you hit stop it will end the a2dp connection.

The update was super easy to install following the detailed PDF directions for Bluetooth update. I felt at ease. It literally took less than 5 minutes!

I'm happy with this unit and the level of customer service I'm getting from Walt even after I already purchased the ogm1. The Advent guys are on top of their stuff too with the quick update. Keep it up!

I am thinking about getting a samsung galaxy android phone. Will this limit the stuff I can do with my ogm unit. I have an iphone now. I'm assuming I will still be able to use bluetooth for calls, but will I not be able to use media link to charge while driving and listen to pandora. All you people with non-iphones, how is your ogm experience??

You pretty much got it. Bluetooth for calls should work the same (I soemtimes have trouble with my Galaxy S2 not able to connect but I think its the phones fault, not the OGM).

No pandora direct connection. The closest you can get is AD2P via bluetooth. You get a mostly blank screen with a pause and next track button - thats about it.

I never tried plugging in my phone to the USB port but I assume it works like plugging in any thumb drive - have to navigate the MP3s. I just bought a cheap used ipod of ebay and leave it in the truck so I dont have to constently pull the phone in and out fo the glove box.
