Brightest reverse bulbs?

to you guy's with cree 5w reverse lights do they give you a good light pattern ? i had a standard set of led's - great for show , bad for backing up ? how about hid's? any information will be helpful.

I've had mine for over a year now and have had no problems with them. They are great for backing up and provide plenty of light. I've never had the HID's so I can't comment on them. I definitely recommend these CREE 5W bulbs. If you get the radial LED bulbs you should have light close up and the top LED will shine extremely far out the back. It's like having spots in the rear.

I have never had HID backup lights. I have had HID fogs and liked em' so maybe they are the way to go? That said though I really like the CREE 5W LED's and will keep them in place. They put out excellent light behind me. Looks fine in my OEM backup camera with the screen in the mirror.

I was looking around ebay and couldnt find any reverse bulbs for my 05..

If/when i find the bulbs are they plug and play? or is there wiring to add

Mine were plug and play and I assume your's will be too. Check out Retro-Solutions for the bulbs. That's where I got mine along with a lot of other members on the site.
