ScanGuage II and Torque

Recommended Posts

I have a scanguage 2 that I use to keep track of transmission temperatures, mileage, etc since I don't have the DIC. Seems to work pretty well. One of the X-guage settings they have is engine torque. I decided to set it up to see what my engine torque is when I'm driving around.

I have yet to see that torque go over 47 ft-lbs. Can that be right? Does the torque management software really wimp the engine out that much? OK, I have the 4.8, but still, it should be way better than that. The indicated horsepower goes up (another Xguage reading) but the torque remains constant.

Almost makes me want to get a tune. Any ideas?

I can't give you an answer but I sure have a lot of questions for you. I hear rumors that it can also measure boost, as well as give you time to distance and time to mph numbers, like 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times. Is that accurate? If so, I'll buy one and tell you what it gives me for torque. If it's 47 ft lbs. I want my money back. On the truck not the gauge...

I'm not sure if it can do that. Maybe the newer version. http://www.scangauge...ts/scangaugeii/

I got the indicated torque up to 50 ft-lbs yesterday. Woo hoo! I imagine your supercharged 6.2 can get to 75 ft-lbs, unless you have it tuned. Sure is odd.
