Questions on getting a new bumper

I just hit a deer tonight and I messed the front bumper up pretty bad. The grill and headlights and everything else is ok. But I imagine the mounting brackets, inner and outer for my bumper, are probably bent. Now I have insurance and will get it fixed, but where can I get brackets since I have a zone 3" body lift? Does anyone know if they sell just the brackets? Also is there a way to modify say a Fab Four bumper onto my truck with the 3" body lift? Cause if so, I could get fix it myself and avoid the down time without my truck.

Thanks,

I just ran into the same problem after some retard backed into me while i was parked. I have the RC 1.25 bodylift and i put on an aftermarket bumper. There is a noticeable gap still and the bumper i got is even adjustable. here is a pic. Id imagine it would be even worse with a 3" body lift. Your best bet would be just to replace the stock bumper unless you can live with the gap.

Nice bumper. What kind? And how much if you don't mind me asking? You can pm me a price if you don't want to post it

Yeah I don't want a 3" gap. Prolly just gonna have to call zone and see if they can send me new brackets and ill try and find a factory bumper in the classifieds.

No problem man, here is a link to the exact one i bought http://www.rangeroffroad.com/GMC-1500-New-Body-Style-Frontier-Xtreme-Series-Front-Replacement-Bumper-2007-2012_p_158.html

they have a whole assortment but i think your gonna run into the same problem with all of them. The only reason im not to concerned about my gap is because i got 2000$ after my accident from the retards insurance company and that bumper was only 800 so i basically got it for free.

Ya I'm pretty confident once I have the bumper in hand I could weld up some brackets to make it fit. I looked up a factory replacement bumper and its almost $900 in parts for an oem bumper. That's why I thought of upgrading to an offroad bumper. I'll have to see how much I get from insurance.

I'll check them out. Hopefully they have a bumper for around a grand. That other posted a website with and iron cross brand bumper for around 900 bucks and looks identical to the Fab Four bumper but for a lot less.

for the love of god please don't look at iron bull bumpers.... i've had several customers bring them in for installation. i have yet to have one with a good fit at all PRIMARILY THE REAR. had a gentleman with stock back up sensors in his 2011 silverado. the new bumper was cut out for said bumpers. the center holes were far too large for the sensors to fit in and they also hung down below the bumper and looked like garbage. the outer two sensors were far too small for the sensors. not to mention the fact that you have 3/16th or so thick bumper plus linex or rhino bedliner spray on top of that, the sensors will never mount in like they're supposed to. then to top it off due to the angle and location of the sensors it caused them to go off non stop when backing up. he ended up calling the BBB on them because they would not help him out at all. we put his stock rear bumper on and the sensors worked perfectly. i have never been impressed with their fit, plus the fact that it has bed liner spray over it makes it very difficult to mount and attempt to line up correctly. the cheesiest part is they do not send any hardware with their bumpers they make you go buy it on your own and hope for the best.
