crazydog Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 My 13 had a leaking axle valve that the dealer just replaced. Since then, it doesn't feel right. Hard to describe. Feels odd going over any little bump. Feels loose? Has a 'thunk'? What should I be looking for? What did they do wrong? I can't bring it in til Monday as they are closed today.

crazydog Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 mmm, I'm sure that's what they said it was. It was leaking oil near the left front tire. So differential?? They said they had to replace a valve. Clearly I am such a mechanic, hahaha.

Please feel free to contact me as well. I would be happy to look into this for you on my end and perhaps get in touch with the dealer for you. I look forward to hearing from you. crazydog Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Couldn't live with it anymore, so brought it back today--they finally "replicated" what I'm hearing/feeling and it's in for the day again to see if they can figure out what went wrong during the seal replacement!
00Silverado4x4 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 My fingers are crossed for you. I can fully appreciate the frustration of knowing something is wrong but not knowing what.
crazydog Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Bolt for a tie rod was loose (or left loose as it had no problems until they replaced the seal, then immediate issues driving out of the dealership)??? Riding great now!
00Silverado4x4 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Well at least they found a problem and didn't make you feel like you were the problem.
crazydog Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Yup! They were professional . . .though I do feel they could have done a better job of checking it out when I first brought it back with the problem . . . ah, well, things could be much worse.
