Today I get a letter from the gm card.  They bumped my earnings up to $2003 (til 1-31-03).  I was just on the local dealers site and they have a $3000 off all 03 models except the vettes.  HMMMM $5003 off a new car?  Plus my dads supplier deal???

Darnit doesnt this sound like a great deal?

???

Ryan, i don't think you can use the GM card earnings in combo with the GMO or GMS Supplier discounts.  :smash:

aww, losing my twin would make Blue go through some serious grief...ha.  Do what's right for you if you have the cash or are thinking about a purchase relatively soon.

I thought there were some new restrictions on using GM Card credits with GMS.  I don't know when they go into effect though....  it may not be until later this year.

The restrictions go into effect starting Aug. this year. I just picked up my truck about a month ago (Dec. seemed to have the best deals so far). I got the $3,250 cash back, $1,500 loyalty, my $1,000 GM Card + $500 bonus, & my dad's GM discount price. Plus they found a bank with 4.4% for 5 years. All said and done, it took the $34.5K sticker price down to about $22.5K.  Hard to pass up a price like that.

I have to pass this up :flag: I cant give up my truck.  Also i dont wanna start over with mods.  I have put alot of $$$ and time into my truck and dont wanna start over yet.  Maybe in May they will offer something like this and i can also get the $400 college rebate.  Also they dont have anything on the lots anymore.  They did back in october (same truck as mine except it was a 2500HD with plow prep and 4.10)

I used my "black" GM Card earnings and $500 holiday bonus and GMS pricing and $3000 cash back and a $1000 Olds loyalty discount and $250 dealer holdback on my '03. Like kshuart $12K off sticker (no trade). It was an offer I couldn't refuse.

*Tim Allen grunt*...I know I wish I had the cash at the time to have myself an HD, but I love blue nonetheless.

Ryan, I wanted to mention that GMAC has changed the amount of real $$ you apply from your earnings toward a new vehicle purchase.  This goes into effect next summer - can't remember the details, but it's prorated as a %.

This is why I jumped at the end of the lease to get "Blue" now, to get 100% of the earnings $$.

Just a thought.  :flag:

Is that for the old card or the new gm card?  I still have the old dark blue card.  Have about $1000 thusfar

I have the old dark blue card, and I didn't change to the new when they offered a couple of years ago.  I'll go try to dig up the old info on it, if I still have it.

Also, if you go online to GMCard.com, you might find out something there as well.

If I find the paper they sent me, I'll post the details here, or PM you if you want.

Post edit:  Must have chucked it - can't find it.  :flag:

If you have the blue card, you have until Aug. to use your earnings.  After that, they convert your 5% earnings to 1%.  You don't get a choice this time. After Aug, you start earning 1% on purchases with the card.  I think they dropped the $500 max a year, but of course you would have to charge $50,000 a year to hit that anyway.
